Keynote 1 Dr. M. Buiting
Care in the 21st century; how to anticipate to new requirements
Our current health care is largely shaped in the 20th century. Care in our twenty-first century however, sets other requirements. Currently specificity and inclusivity are viewed as important. It is not the patient as a category anymore, it is about the patient as a unique individual, and context, family, work and meaningfulness play an important role. This means an inclusive approach with other demands on the environment of patients and subsequently on health care professionals. In this lecture, Dr. Buiter will talk about these dynamics and indicate how to work with these developments in daily practice.
